For You, And Me Too

I made this for you...

...if you've ever wanted a little more wonder.

If you've ever wondered what the tarot card was actually trying to tell you, not because you needed someone else to predict your future, but because you were hoping it might teach you to ask better questions.

If you've ever watched the moon change shape and wondered whether it had something to teach you about rest, creativity, grief, or beginning again.

If you've ever filled a bag with crystals you couldn't name, felt like you were playing dress-up in someone else's spirituality, but couldn't shake the feeling there was something somewhere in there for you too.

If you've ever wanted to talk about ancestral patterns, body image, sisterhood, nervous systems, the patriarchy, medicinal plants, boundaries, awe, grief, and joy, all in the same afternoon, around the same fire.

If you've ever wished women had more rituals.

More reasons to gather.

More ceremonies for becoming.

More places where jealousy could be spoken out loud instead of buried, where anxiety wasn't something to fix but something to hold together, for a little while, until it's lighter.

If you've ever wanted friendships where we call each other higher instead of quietly competing.

Where we celebrate one another's becoming.

Where we remember that another woman's light doesn't dim our own, it just means there's more fire in the room.

I want to dig my feet in the dirt, find the bottoms stained with berries.

I want to know the plants growing wild around me by name.

I want to learn how to make medicine from what's already growing outside my door.

I want to be open to the wisdom of the seasons, to remember I'm not separate from them, that I cycle too.

I want to visit each of the four elements often enough that they stop feeling like symbols and start feeling like kin.

I want to mark the equinoxes, to actually stop, for once, when the earth tips toward dark or light.

I want to tell stories around a table until the candles burn low.

I want to remember the women I've been, young, earnest, naive, over-protected, and instead of saying goodbye, I want to invite them to put their heads in my lap, so they can finally rest. I want to play with their hair, rub their backs, and tell them everything is going to be okay. And then, with open arms, welcome the one I'm still becoming.

Mostly...

I wanted a place where people who care about these things could find each other. Not to perform wellness. Not to collect another aesthetic. But to actually show up, rooted, honest, a little more feral than the world is comfortable with.

So I made one.

For you.

And, if I'm being honest...

for me, too.

I’ll save you a seat.
