A One-Day Burnout Reset

October 17, 2026 · 10am–2pm · Marina, SF

A one-day burnout intensive for people who don't recognize themselves anymore.

If work that used to feel easy suddenly feels impossible... if you're staring at the same email for twenty minutes, sleeping eight hours and still exhausted, or wondering whether you're burned out, depressed, anxious, or just not as capable as you used to be, you're not alone.

I've spent the last seventeen years as a psychotherapist, and the last thirteen working almost exclusively with people in the Bay Area tech community. I've watched hundreds of people ask the same question:

"What is happening to me?"

Burnout has patterns. It's understandable. And most importantly, it's treatable.

This isn't a wellness retreat or group therapy. It's a practical, evidence-based working session where you'll understand what's happening in your brain and nervous system, identify where you are in the burnout process, and leave with a realistic plan for what comes next.

Whether that's setting boundaries, having a conversation with your manager, considering leave, rebuilding the parts of your life that have quietly disappeared, or simply realizing you're not failing — you've been carrying more than one person was meant to carry.

You'll stop wondering what's wrong with you and start understanding what's happened to you.

What We’ll Explore

Throughout the day we'll combine teaching, discussion, and guided reflection to explore:

  • What burnout actually is — and how it's different from stress or exhaustion
  • How chronic stress affects the brain, body, and nervous system
  • The hidden patterns that keep high-achievers stuck
  • Practical regulation skills you can use at work and at home
  • Building a realistic burnout recovery plan that fits your actual life

You’ll Leave With

By the end of the day, you'll leave with:

  • A clear understanding of whether you're experiencing stress, burnout, anxiety, depression, or some combination — and what those differences mean.
  • A personalized recovery roadmap based on where you are, not generic wellness advice.
  • Practical tools to calm an overwhelmed nervous system that you can use immediately.
  • A framework for deciding whether it's time for boundaries, accommodations, PTO, FMLA, or simply a different way of working.
  • Language for talking with your manager, partner, or physician about what you're experiencing.
  • The reassurance that what you're experiencing is understandable — and recoverable.

The Experience

The day is designed to feel spacious, restorative, and deeply human — beautiful coffee, thoughtful conversation, practical learning, movement, fresh air, nourishing food, and time to reconnect without needing to perform.

Every detail is chosen with care. Not because luxury heals burnout. Because feeling cared for matters.

Who It’s For

This is for the person who doesn't have enough hours in the day — and is starting to fall apart anyway.

  • The person who doesn't know how to continue, but can't imagine stopping.
  • The person quietly terrified they'll lose their job — or finally say something they can't take back.
  • The person who's been disappearing from their own life, one skipped meal and sleepless night at a time.
  • High achievers who are used to being the capable one.
  • People pleasers who say yes before they've checked in with themselves.
  • Perfectionists who can't rest because something still needs doing.
  • Professionals who are constantly on — and secretly exhausted by it.
  • Neurodivergent people who are tired of masking.

Why This Is Different

Most burnout advice tells you to take a vacation. Burnout recovery asks different questions: How did you get here? What keeps you here? And what would it look like to build a life you don't have to keep recovering from?

That's what we'll begin exploring together.

I’ll save you a seat.
